Melvin Nagler, PhD, Psychologist: I provide senior level expertise to help improve the quality of life for individuals and couples coping with anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and difficulties with relationships, family or career. My collaborative style is direct, interactive, supportive and challenging. I quickly get to the heart of the matter and focus on problems in the present by helping clients understand how past experiences and relationships shaped and influence who they are now. I guide clients in developing a deeper sense of fulfillment, and relationships with enhanced communication and intimacy, by combining psychodynamic insight with a systems orientation, and skills- based cognitive behavioral approaches.
"Mel has an in depth understanding of the dynamics that get people stuck in a rut, and he stimulates them to get moving again."
I was appointed to a Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, interned at Boston Children's Hospital, trained at the Family Institute of Cambridge, and am listed in the National Register of Health Providers. I have advanced training with innovative techniques of EMDR and Ericksonian Hypnosis, and trained therapists to teach conflict resolution and stress reduction. Learn More About |
